Transportation Programs

Transportation to the nearest Nutrition Center, shopping and medical facility is available to older adults (55 and over) and handicapped residents. A vehicle, owned by the Commission on Aging, and equipped with a wheelchair lift provides scheduled door to door service throughout the county.

Bus Schedule
The bus runs Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. to the Nutrition Center and Medical appointments. When Scheduling Medical Appointments please schedule them for after 10:00 am, this includes Lab work, Physicals, Check Ups, Dental, or anything pretaining to a Medical Facility, etc, these facilities are pretty good at working with you and the Commission on Aging. Also, we provide transportation for shopping at local stores, the bank or appointment at local facility. Please Call 920-834-7707 before 9:00 a.m. on the day before you would like transportation to schedule a ride and our service for the bus starts after 10:00 am which will include picking up all Okato Manor individuals at this time, which means if you are scheduled for a trip on any of those days please make sure you are down there because once the bus leaves it isn't running back, also if you feel you can not make that trip for that day please call and cancel so we can accomendate our other clients. The bus will continue to run until 2 pm but if an appointment at a medical facility or court house take a bit longer than expected, we stay until we receive a call saying ready for pick up. We never leave anyone behind. We do ask for a $3.00 donation for rides this keeps our Transportation going for all our clients. Thank you all very much.

Oconto Falls
The bus runs Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday and Friday from 9:15 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. To schedule a ride call 920-846-3475 or 920-834-7707 the day before to schedule a ride. We do ask for a $3.00 donation for rides. 

Crooked Lake - Mountain - Lakewood - Suring - Townsend

Volunteer Escort Program
Transportation may be provided to scheduled medical appointments outside the bus routes. This service is available to adults, 55 and over, and handicapped residents with no other means of transportation. Volunteers use their personal vehicles to transport. A wheelchair accessible bus is available.

We request a five business day notice. Service is provided on a first call, first serve basis. We request a donation of 40¢ per mile. Your driver will provide a statement showing the mileage at the end of your trip.

To schedule transportation, please call AT LEAST 5 business days in advance to schedule your medical appointments so that it gives us time to find a driver for you, (920) 834-7707 or 1-800-649-6568. Once we receive confirmation of your driver for that day, we will call to confirm with you and who will be your driver for that appointment.
